respectful, empathetic, collaborative Therapy
I am Egyptian-American; I grew up in Cairo, Egypt, and I recognize the role culture and identity play in understanding and interacting with the world. I am passionate about normalizing the process of seeking therapeutic care as one would go on for a routine physical check-up and check in with a trusted therapist. I work with individuals, couples, and families and provide services in English and Arabic.
I trained at California Family Institute, a low-cost community clinic in Costa Mesa, CA, where I worked with individuals, couples, and families. I also run a women's group, "Embrace your body," a collaborative group to support women who explore what it's like to take up space in a female body.
I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in psychology and social behavior. I've worked with kids on the spectrum of autism and their families, adults dealing with substance abuse, and mental health diagnoses. I received my master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
